Our Program

Full Enrichment Day

3 classes included

The Free Spirit Monday Enrichment Program is a full-day educational experience designed for homeschool students ages 7–14.

The program combines creative arts, STEM exploration, and hands-on engineering challenges in a structured learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.

Students participate in three engaging learning sessions throughout the day.

  • Morning Session – Art & Creative Expression

Students explore different artistic techniques and creative materials while developing their imagination and

       artistic confidence.

  • Midday Session – STEM Exploration

In this session students discover scientific concepts through hands-on experiments and engineering challenges.

  • Afternoon Session – LEGO Design & Creative Building

Students participate in LEGO-based engineering and design challenges where they develop creative solutions

      and learn basic structural concepts.

The program is designed for small groups to ensure a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Mondays 10am - 5pm

Tuition  $220 per month ($55 per day)

Design & Create

LEGO Challenges

In this unique enrichment class, kids explore how ideas become reality - by building them! Using LEGO-like bricks as their main tool, students tackle weekly design challenges that encourage creative problem-solving, imaginative prototyping, and collaborative thinking. Every session is a joyful mix of brainstorming, building, testing, and sharing.

This is not a LEGO club - it’s a launchpad for young innovators.
How does it work?
Each week, students receive a playful design challenge framed around a story, scenario, or need. They'll brainstorm, sketch or visualize ideas, and then build working models using LEGO bricks. After building, students present their models, discuss what worked and what didn’t, and reflect on how their designs could evolve.

Art Class

In our Art Class, children explore a variety of creative techniques and materials in a fun and supportive environment. Depending on their age, students experiment with colors, shapes, and different artistic methods while discovering their own style. The focus is on creativity and enjoyment—children are free to choose their own motifs and colors, because sometimes the creative journey itself is the most rewarding part. Our projects include sculptures made from paper, plaster, and air-dry clay, as well as painting with acrylics, watercolors, and wax crayons. Students also explore patterns through printing, stamps, and rotating art tools, try experimental painting techniques, and create crafts using wood and natural materials.

The class takes place in our art room in Winter Haven, and in good weather we also use the adjoining garden for outdoor creative activities. Please bring clothes that can get dirty so children can fully enjoy the creative process.

STEM Makers

In our STEM course, children explore science, engineering, and technology through hands-on experiments and real-world projects. From building bridge models and working with different materials to experimenting with our garden railway, we turn STEM concepts into experiences children can see, touch, build, and test. The course takes place in our STEM workshop in Winter Haven, with plenty of opportunities to take our projects outdoors when the weather allows.

Children are introduced to hand tools such as hammers, saws, files, and drills and learn how to use them safely and responsibly. Under supervision, they can also explore technologies such as 3D printing and laser engraving. Along the way, we investigate chemical reactions, experiment with different materials, and discover physical and engineering principles through examples from everyday life.

Our activities are designed to be child-friendly, playful, and hands-on. Rather than simply explaining how something works, we encourage children to experiment, build, test, make mistakes, and find their own solutions.

For example, we use trains to make complex concepts easier to understand: How does steam pressure move a piston? What makes a bridge stable? Why are narrow-gauge railways particularly useful in mountainous terrain? Through small experiments and practical challenges, children are encouraged to observe, ask questions, and draw their own conclusions.
